External Contributions

Contributing to the research environment

The Erpenbach Institute considers selected external work for publication where it creates a substantive connection with the Institute’s research environment. Submission does not create an affiliation with the Institute and does not guarantee publication.

Research Dialogues

Research Dialogues are intended for research, reports or projects that take up an EI question, distinction, concept or argument and develop it further in another field, institution or practical context. The external work remains the author’s or project’s own work; the dialogue lies in the identifiable research connection.

Guest Essays

Guest Essays are independent essays or analytical contributions whose argument shows a substantive fit with the broader research environment of the Institute. A Guest Essay does not need to derive directly from an EI framework, but it must add a distinct perspective or argument that can stand on its own.

What to submit

Please provide:

  • the title and a short description of the work
  • the draft, manuscript or a stable link to the underlying work
  • author name, role and institutional affiliation, if applicable
  • a short explanation of the connection to an EI research question, framework or research area
  • confirmation that the submitted material is original or that all necessary rights for publication have been obtained

Submission and review

Send submissions to contact@erpenbach.institute with the subject line “External Contribution”. The Institute reviews submissions individually and decides whether a contribution fits the research environment, which format is appropriate and whether publication is offered. Publication, timing and presentation remain at the Institute’s discretion.

Publication as a Research Dialogue or Guest Essay does not constitute employment, Fellowship status, institutional membership or any other affiliation with the Erpenbach Institute.
